Formula to tally lumber:
- Width & length are tallied to the nearest inch or foot respectively (ie. 5 1/2" = 6" and 8'6" = 9')
- Our hardwood lumber is not end-trimmed, therefore we tally to the un-natural defects (splits) or to the useable length. Knots are not considered a defect in this situation.
We allow and encourage you to pick and choose the boards that lend to your project.
- However, please put the bin, pile, and/or rack back in the order you found it.
- No children under 12 allowed upstairs in our warehouse.

For 100 years, Oleksak Lumber Company, family owned and operated, has served Western Massachusetts with a commitment to service and value. Our operation now includes a fully automated sawmill, dry kiln, milling facility, pallet lumber cut-up operation, bark mulch business, and including our own crews, an extensive network of loggers supplying logs for the sawmill.
